Aramex hosted 7 university and vocational training students at our offices in Kampala Uganda. The students took a tour of the office and met with Aramex employees to learn more about different teams and their roles.Through a partnership with two prominent nonprofit organizations in Uganda; Nnabagereka Development Foundation (NDF) and Restless Development , Aramex grants education scholarships to academically distinguished students. In return, the students commit to four hours of community service on a weekly basis. The community service is done through Aramex’s sustainability projects and initiatives and in partnership with local nonprofit organizations. The students are also required to maintain high academic achievement and to engage in extra-curricular activities; such as sports and youth clubs. Aramex also offers the students mentorship, training and internship opportunities.

Construction has begun on a solar plant to cover Aramex’s electricity needs in Jordan. The plant is set to be completed this year.
Aramex is committed to minimizing its environmental footprint and reducing its Greenhouse Gas emissions through a number of different investments and projects, including renewable energy, green building, alternative fuels and operational efficiency.

As part of Aramex’s work with entrepreneurs our Chief Sustainability Officer sat down with 50 Omani startups to discuss how to integrate sustainability as they build their businesses from the ground up. These entrepreneurs are part of a group of 300 Omani startups enrolled in the Aramex and InfoFort Startup Support Program, which gives startups access to competitive rates, training and mentorship.
