What is Aramex It Forward: A social initiative, supported by Aramex, offering Participants an opportunity to ship items (the "Shipment") for a positive purpose benefiting third parties related to (i) Education & Youth Empowerment, (ii) Community Empowerment, (iii) the Environment, or (iv) Disaster Relief.
Sponsor: Aramex International LLC, located in Dubai, UAE (hereinafter referred to as the "Sponsor").
Eligibility: Aramex It Forward Initiative (the "Initiative") is open to everyone subject to the following terms and conditions. The Initiative is void where prohibited and/or restricted by law. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, and its respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, and/or divisions (such entities collectively, the "Related Entities") are not eligible to participate. In order to enter the Initiative, Participants must agree to these Terms and Conditions. Therefore, please read these Terms and Conditions prior to submitting an Entry. You agree that submission of an Entry constitutes your agreement to these Terms and Conditions. You may not submit an Entry to the Initiative and are not eligible to receive the Prize unless you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Promotion Period: The Initiative will begin anew on the first (1st) of each calendar month at 12:01 AM (Gulf Standard Time ("GST")) and will end on the tenth (10th) day of the same calendar month at 11:59PM GST (the "Promotion Period"). The first Initiative will start on April 1, 201 6 at 12:01 AM (Gulf Standard Time ("GST")) and will end April 10, 2016 at 1 1 :59PM (midnight) (GST).
Qualifying Aramex City: Your Entry should list only one (1 ) origin city and one (1 ) destination city each where an Aramex office is present. To find a Qualifying Aramex City, please visit www.aramex.com/offices.
Qualifying Initiatives: When submitting your Entry, please include only those initiatives that are related to the following objectives: (a) Education and Youth Empowerment; (b) Community Empowerment; (c) the Environment; or (d) Disaster Relief.
Ways to Enter: Participants may enter via Twitter or Facebook. The Entry, submitted via either of the two methods further described below, must include (A) tweet/post what the Shipment will contain, the origin and destination cities of the Shipment, and the reason behind the Shipment and; (B) include the hashtags #AramexltForward and #Entry (A and B, collectively, an "Entry").
(1) TWITTER.COM: A tweet may not exceed 140 characters. Participant’s Twitter settings must be “public” (settings can be changed to “private” any time following the announcement of the Winner). Participants entering via Twitter.com must have an active and non-protected Twitter account and must follow @Aramex on Twitter.com. To sign up for a free non-protected Twitter account please visit www.twitter.com. Participants understand that the Twitter Terms (available at https://twitter.com/tos) apply and Aramex is not responsible for any Twitter Terms. By submitting a Twitter Entry, Participant consents to receive, from the Sponsor, a reply Twitter message and, if applicable, a Twitter Direct message, e-mail and/or phone call notifying Participant that he/she is a Winner. Please note that message and data rates may be applicable if using a mobile device and such charges, if any, are the sole responsibility of the Participant (contact appropriate wireless provider for complete details with respect to message and data rates both for sent and received messages). Participants must be the authorized account holder of the Twitter account from which the Entry is submitted. Twitter does not, in any way, sponsor, endorse, or administer or is associated with this Initiative. By entering the Initiative, Participant agrees to waive, discharge and release Twitter from any and all liability associated with the Initiative.
(2) FACEBOOK.COM: Post a comment under the “Aramex It Forward” post. Participants who enter via Facebook must have an active Facebook account and must post a comment under the “Aramex It Forward” post or directly on the official Aramex Facebook page. Participant understands that all Facebook Terms (available at https://www.facebook.com/policies) apply and Aramex is not responsible for any Facebook Terms. Participants must have an active Facebook account or sign up for a free Facebook account at www.facebook.com. An Entry posted by a protected Facebook account will not be recognized as a valid submission. By submitting a Facebook Entry, Participant consents to receive, from the Sponsor, a posted message on his/her Facebook wall page and, if applicable, a Facebook direct message, or e-mail notifying Participant that he/she is a Winner. Participant is required to have a public Facebook account in order to receive posts from the Sponsor (settings can be changed to “private” any time following the announcement of the Winner). Participants must be the authorized account holder of the Facebook account from which the Entry is submitted. Facebook does not, in any way, sponsor, endorse or administer, or is associated with this Initiative. By submitting a Facebook Entry, Participant understands that the posted information is submitted to Aramex and not Facebook. By entering the Initiative, Participant agrees to waive, discharge and fully release Facebook from any and all liability associated with the Initiative.

Limit one (1) Entry per person per Promotion Period, regardless of entry method. Multiple Entries will be void. Any attempt by a Participant to submit more than one Entry by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, Twitter/Facebook accounts, Twitter/Facebook logins or any other methods will void Participant’s Entries and may result in disqualification. Use of automated Entry or similar devices to participate or subvert the Entry process is prohibited, and all entries submitted through such devices are void. Participants agree that Sponsor and/or Related Entities are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Entries by third parties. Participants agree not to use the Entry for any other purpose, including, without limitation, posting the Entry to any other online social networks, without the express consent of Sponsor in each instance.
Entry Requirements: By submitting an Entry, Participant warrants and represents that he/she consents to the submission and use of the Entry in the Initiative and to use it as otherwise set forth herein.
An Entry must meet the following criteria:
Sponsor may disqualify any Entry for any reason, including if it determines, in its sole discretion, that: (a) the Entry fails to conform to these Terms and Conditions, in any manner; (b) otherwise contains unacceptable content; or (c) any false information provided within the context of the Entry by Participant concerning identity, mailing address, telephone number, email address, ownership of right or non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions or the like may result in the immediate elimination of the Participant from the Initiative.
Finalist Judging: Upon conclusion of each respective Promotion Period, the received eligible Entries will be judged by Sponsor, which may include employees of Sponsor, on the following criteria: (a) impact, (b) innovation, (c) beneficiaries, and (d) alignment of initiative’s cause with the three objectives. Up to ten (10) Entries will be deemed the “Finalists” based on the Judging Criteria as determined by the panel of qualified judges. The decisions of the panel of judges are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to select less than ten (10) Finalists or to not award the Prize during a Promotion Period if a sufficient number of qualified Entries are not received during a respective Promotion Period. The Finalists will be contacted via a direct message on Twitter and/or Facebook by Sponsor on or about the 14th day of the respective calendar month. The Finalists will be provided an application to complete and further instructions regarding the next stage in the Initiative. The Finalists will be provided four (4) days from date of notification to complete and return the application to the Sponsor.
Winner Determination: The ten (10) Finalist Entries will be judged by the prior Aramex it Forward Winner using the Finalist Judging Criteria (the first Promotion Period will be judged by Sponsor). The Finalist Entry receiving the highest score will be deemed the Winner for the respective Promotion Period. The decision of Sponsor is final and binding in all respects. Winners will be responsible for selecting the next subsequent Winning Entry. In the event the Winner is unable to select the subsequent potential Winner, the next potential Winner will be selected by Sponsor.
Winner Notification/Release: The Winner will first be notified by telephone or email on or about the 30th each of calendar month with further instructions to email or call Aramex within forty-eight (48) hours from the notice. Failure to respond within the required timeframe may result in disqualification and the Prize may be awarded to the next highest scoring Entry. Sponsor will make two (2) attempts to notify the potential Winner. The Winner will be required to return to the Sponsor a signed and executed Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability and (where permitted) a Publicity Release (“Affidavit/Release”), within forty-eight (48) hours of notification attempt or the prize may be forfeited. A potential Winner may be disqualified under any the following circumstances: i) he/she cannot be reached by Sponsor within the specified time period; ii) the notification or email correspondence is returned as undeliverable or phone call is not answered; iii) he/she is found to be ineligible; iv) he/she does not return the required documentation within the required time period; and/or v) he/she cannot or does not comply with these Terms and Conditions. If the potential Winner is considered a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence, potential Winner’s parent/legal guardian may be required to sign and return all required documentation. In the event the potential Winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the Prize to the next highest scoring Entry based on the Judging Criteria outlined herein. Sponsor is not responsible for any fraudulent calls or e-mails to Participants, or potential Winner that are not made by Sponsor. Winner will be announced on social media pages including Facebook, Twitter and Aramex website.
Prize (“Prize”): The Prize for each Promotion Period consists of a Shipment which will be shipped from the origin city to the destination city having a Prize Value (“PV”) of up to $3,000.00 (Three Thousand US Dollars).
Prize Restrictions: It is the Winner’s responsibility to ensure that the Shipment is adequately packed and to provide the same to Sponsor. The total shipping value for the Shipment must not exceed the PV, which will be dependent on the weight of the Shipment and the mode of transportation, which will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. No substitutions or deviations with respect to origin or destination cities for the Shipment will be permitted once the Winner has been selected. The origin and destination cities must have an Aramex office (please see: http://www.aramex.com/offices/default.aspx). Shipping may take up to four (4) weeks from the Winner notification release and will be dependent on the mode of transportation, which will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Winner needs to ensure that the recipient of the Shipment is authorized to receive the Shipment from the sender (if sender is not the Winner).
Shipments are subject and entitled to all provisions of Sponsors Conditions of Carriage. Winners will be solely responsible for any and all applicable fees exceeding the PV. Winners may not substitute or assign the Prize or redeem the Prize for cash, but Sponsor may substitute the Prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with Prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided. Winner is solely responsible for the purchase of the items to be included in the Shipment, and adequate packaging of the Shipment. Additional restrictions may apply to acceptance and/or use of the Prize. All taxes on the Prize are the sole responsibility of each Winner. If a Winner is a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence, that Prize will be awarded in the name of the Winner’s parent/legal guardian who will be responsible for all applicable taxes on the Prize. The PV of the Prize set forth above represents Sponsor’s good faith determination of the retail value thereof, and the actual value, as ultimately determined by Sponsor, is final and binding and cannot be challenged or appealed. In the event the stated PV of a prize is more than the actual value of the Prize, the difference will not be awarded in cash or otherwise. The specifics of all elements of the prize stated herein shall be solely determined by Sponsor. Prizes may not be substituted except that Sponsor may substitute the Prize, or portion thereof, with the Prize or portion of comparable or greater value. Any portion of the Prize not used by a Winner is forfeited and no cash substitute will be offered or permitted. Prizes being offered are provided “as is” with no warranty or guarantee either express or implied by Sponsor. The Sponsor has not made, and will not be responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Winner assumes sole responsibility for all costs associated with any elements of the Prize not explicitly included as part of Prize description, including without limitation, all applicable taxes (if any) or insurance, and any other expenses not specified as a part of the Prize stated herein. Winners must provide all necessary documents at the time of the Shipment. Sponsor has the right to deny shipping the shipment without the proper documentation, including without limitations documents necessary for customs clearance. Sponsor nor Related Entities will be responsible for Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation.
Winner Social Media Requirements: Winners will be required to provide content that details his/her experiences and activities as they relate to the Initiative and the Prize (hereafter “Assets”). Assets may include, but are not limited to two (2) to three (3) profile photos of Winners and a brief of the Initiative. Assets submitted must not feature any subject matter related to pornography, the promotion of tobacco or illegal drugs, firearms or other weapons, any unlawful activity, hateful content of any kind (including racism, sexism, or bigotry), activities that promote hatred or harm to another human being, promote a political or religious agenda, or that communicate a message or image inconsistent with the positive images and/or goodwill with which the Sponsor wishes to be associated, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and will be not be permitted. Winners will be required to maintain active social media accounts with public/non-protected settings for a period of up to one year, as specified by Sponsor. Except where prohibited, Winners grant to Sponsor and its licensees, successors and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual, unlimited, royalty-free, fully paid-up license to reproduce, distribute, display, exhibit, exploit, perform, edit, create derivatives of, and otherwise use the Assets and all elements embodied therein, together with any other material, and the name, user name, country of residence, voice, image and/or likeness of the Winners, in any & all media now known or hereafter devised, in any manner, in whole or in part, worldwide, without compensation or notification to, or permission from, the Winners or any third party, for any purpose whatsoever, including without limitation, for purposes of advertising or trade. Winners will be notified when any media will be used before their names and likeness is made public. Winners will be required to keep their social media accounts public/active for a minimum of three (3) months.
Grant of Rights to Entries: Except where prohibited, each Participant, by submitting an Entry, grants to Sponsor and its licensees, successors and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual, unlimited, royalty-free, fully paid-up license to reproduce, distribute, display, exhibit, exploit, perform, edit, create derivatives of, and otherwise use the entry and all elements of such entry, together with any other material, and the name, user name, country of residence, voice, image and/or likeness of Participant, in any & all media now known or hereafter devised, in any manner, in whole or in part, worldwide, without compensation or notification to, or permission from, Participant or any third party, for any purpose whatsoever, including without limitation, for purposes of advertising or trade.
Waiver of Liability and Release: Each Participant, by participating in the Initiative and submitting an Entry, waives, discharges and fully releases Sponsor, Twitter, Facebook and all Related Entities and any other companies associated with the Initiative, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives, from any and all liability, injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from or in connection with participation in the Initiative or from the receipt or use of the Prize or from any activity related to the receipt or use of the Prize (including any activity related thereto). By receipt of the Prize, the Winner agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and/or Related Entities from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Initiative or receipt or use or misuse of the Prize (including any activity related thereto).
Limitation of Liability: Sponsor and/or Related Entities are not responsible for stolen, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, misdirected, lost, damaged, garbled, delayed, incomplete or garbled Entries, Tweets, Posts @replies, messages or email; for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections; availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines; or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or problems of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, network, computer, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Initiative, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Initiative, the processing of Entries, the announcement of the Winner, functionality of the website or in any Initiative-related materials. Sponsor and/or Related Entities are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Initiative. Sponsor and/or Related Entities are not responsible for injury or damage to Participants’ or to any other person’s computer or mobile device related to or resulting from participating in this Initiative. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Initiative or attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Initiative by cheating, deception or other unfair practices, or intend to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other Participant or any representative of Sponsor and/or the Related Entities, or who are in violation of these Terms and Conditions, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated Entries will be void. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this Initiative is unlawful and subject to legal action by the Sponsor. Sponsor shall have the sole right to disqualify any Participant for violation of these Terms and Conditions or any applicable laws relating to the Initiative and to resolve all disputes. Notwithstanding anything in these Terms and Conditions to the contrary, Sponsor and/or Related Entities (i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any prize, and (ii) disclaim any implied warranty.
Publicity: Except where prohibited, upon accepting prize, the Winner grants to the Sponsor and/or Related Entities and their designees the right to publicize his/her full legal name, social media username(s), address, Entry (or any portion thereof), photograph (including, but not limited to, Twitter profile photo), voice, statements and/or other likeness and prize information in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, for advertising, trade and other purposes, throughout the world, in perpetuity, in any manner, without limitation and without additional compensation, consideration, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.
General Conditions: Sponsor may cancel or suspend the Initiative (or any portion thereof) should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes corrupt administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of the Initiative (or any portion thereof). In the event of cancellation, Sponsor may elect to identify the Winner and award the Prize from among all non-suspect, eligible Entries received up to the time of such cancellation using the judging procedure set forth above or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor.
No Offer or Employment: Under no circumstances shall the submission of an Entry into the Initiative, the awarding of a Prize, or anything in these Terms and Conditions be construed as an offer or contract of employment with Sponsor. Participants acknowledge that they submitted their Entry voluntarily and not in confidence or in trust. Participants acknowledge that no confidential, fiduciary, agency or other relationship or implied-in-fact contract now exists between Participant and Sponsor and that no such relationship is established by Participant’s submission of an Entry under these Terms and Conditions.
Caution: Any attempt by a Participant to deliberately damage the websites (including Twitter or Facebook) or to undermine the Initiative or legitimate operation of this Initiative may be considered a violation of criminal and/or civil laws and should such an attempt be maid, Sponsor will disqualify any such Participant and reserve the right to seek damages (including attorney fees) and other remedies from any such Participant to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Waiver: Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Disputes: By entering the Initiative, each Participant agrees that (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Initiative, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Initiative, and in no event will Participant be entitled to receive attorneys’ fees or other legal costs; and (c) under no circumstances will any Participant be permitted to obtain any award for, and Participant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses. All issues and questions related to the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions, or the rights and obligations of the Participant and Sponsor in connection with the Initiative, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of Dubai International Financial Center (“DIFC”) without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than DIFC. Any legal proceedings arising out of this Initiative or relating to these Terms and Conditions shall be instituted only in the DIFC courts, and the parties consent to exclusive jurisdiction therein with respect to any legal proceedings or disputes of whatever nature arising under or relating to these Terms and Conditions.
Severability: The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Terms and Conditions shall otherwise remain in effect and be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
Use of Information: The information that Participants provides in connection with the Initiative may be used by Sponsor in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which is found at http://www.aramex.com/privacy.aspx and which may be updated from time to time without notice.
